A Brachiosaurus was a genus of enormous, long-necked, herbivorous sauropod dinosaurs that lived during the Late Jurassic period in North America. Known for its towering height, which was like a four-story building, the Brachiosaurus’ s forelimbs were longer than its hindlimbs, giving it a steeply inclined trunk and a body shape that earned it the nickname “arm lizard”. This unique build allowed it to reach leaves and cones high in trees that other dinosaurs couldn’t, and its sheer size likely helped protect it from predator.
